I wouldn't want to let this idea slip away because it would be nice to dissect a bit the 4 assumptions I put in the subject:

Integration, juxtaposition, contamination, influence (in music, obviously)

Are there nuances? Are they independent aspects? In conflict or correlatable? What determines if something has truly been Integrated, juxtaposed, contaminated, or influenced?
