Since there is a minimum number of interested parties from the poll, I propose the attached theme.

Do not publish before 31/05/2012

Participants: no limitations, anyone who wants to try their hand at it

It came out a bit skimpy... I think I messed something up ๐Ÿ™

Experience tells me that there might be someone who would like to participate but does not want to expose themselves in the forum (with an alias or first and last name). I am making myself available to post anonymously (someone must surely know, but I'm a vault... here I need a credit of trust).

If you like, we could opt for the anonymous form in the sense that one person collects them (ME) and on day "x" I post them all without making any mention of the song/author association.

This allows us to be freer in our comments; perhaps someone is more lenient towards the moderator and ruthless towards a user with whom we don't get along very well.

In short, it's up to you. I am also making myself available for various conversions, playback, etc.

Alright, I don't have a problem with exposing myself, perhaps because I don't have the fear of messing up (it's something I've never done). I believe everyone accepts constructive criticism, knowing that it helps to improve.

Good work, waiting for others to join the initiative. bye

Is the last note intentionally an eighth note so that one can continue from there, or is it a quarter note?

... the chroma is correct, you will have noticed that the second half-phrase forms a "pair" with the first one which ends in the same way. In short, it's thematic ๐Ÿ˜‰

We must continue from there ๐Ÿ˜‰

A forum member gave me their availability in private, luckily I mentioned anonymity

Here is a quick update:

- Frank

- (GnazzJazz)

- Sisifo1987

- TheSimon

- In incognito 2

We are almost at a count of 6, I didn't quite understand if GnazzJazz will take part or not.

I forgot to say that you can also represent more tracks; if I can manage it, I will write 2.

I did the analysis of the piece according to my knowledge, but I don't think I'll post it

Analyzing the context is already a good starting point ๐Ÿ˜‰ If you don't want to post it, though, maybe you aren't sure about it, which could prevent you from developing the source material to its best potential. It's up to you ๐Ÿ˜‰

Minimum length?

Only piano or also piano and orchestra?

These are questions that cannot find an answer in the sense that everything will depend on the form and the instrumentation you choose. If you choose piano and orchestra, perhaps 3' would be too little (then which orchestra?), too little because the instruments then must have their own space... if it were only piano, 3' might even be too much....it depends, if you are writing the first movement of a sonata....

Therefore, as a good composer or aspiring one, you should design your piece perhaps following a formal model at the service of a certain instrumentation... I see no limits, except in the ability to then sustain one's own choices.

Mind you, we don't know each other, so everything and nothing goes... let's say no constraints ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good, I see we already have a few sign-ups.

In fact, doing the math ... Frank, what is the current state of affairs?

For now, there are the following "certainties":

- Frank

- (GnazzJazz)

- TheSimon

- Sisifo1987

- Jam Session

- Margherita1

- R.Strauss

We are almost at 7, I didn't quite understand if GnazzJazz will take part or not.

Hi everyone, here I am, I'm here too. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm still working on it.

In any case, is the deadline still the same?
