Hi guys, I'm new, I studied up to the 5th year, and I have studied jazz as a self-taught musician; there are many things unknown to me, and I know that alone it will take me a lifetime to understand, and then I wouldn't have any more time available to practice!
However, I have noticed that teaching has now become almost exclusively a business, meaning (I teach you as few things as possible to keep you with me as long as possible); obviously, this formula generates business!!
What I could learn in 6 months is explained to me in 3 years, and that is why I decided to learn as a self-taught musician!!
For once, wouldn't it be nice instead of discussing so much, to bring practical aspects within everyone's reach, rather than just a flood of words that, after reading and re-reading them, leave nothing practical in hand?
I want to learn from those who know more than me; if this is a free forum where people compare ideas and want to learn something, then there is someone who explains and someone who listens, then there will be someone who will clarify or add something, but in the end, the result should be that after a discussion divided by topics, with the topic closed and explained, I should come out of it with more knowledge and not with a crazy confusion in my head because everyone says their piece, but nothing turns out to be practical!!
Music is a gift from nature (GOD) to man, and man has exploited it to make it a business.
Let's give ourselves what we have received as a gift!!
I'll be waiting..........
