It could be a good initiative, especially for the benefit of those who are starting out.

- fugue

What, you don't know that the fugue is "in progress"? I'll see what I can do.

That theme (for the piano piece) seems exactly like the one used for 2012 (I didn't play it, but the rhythm reminds me of it).

Let me know if I am proposing something out of this world and we will see what needs to be done... I hope at least questions, objections, etc., come in.

very interesting, I'm in, doing composition exercises always interests me. I am a composer; I don't know how to write fugues but I have always been interested in writing my own music, which I have been doing for a few years. It is always a little adventure. I can play it and make the score or at least a 'leadsheet', as jazz musicians say (depending on how easy it is for me to do the notation).

The topic was opened last year but it is a living subject...that I have been following for a while now, I participated in the workshop on low harmonization...useful.

As you wish PianistaMaggiorenneDi38, I don't know if you have taken a look at the link proposed by Gassy; if there is a past topic that interests you, you can propose your own version, or if instead you are interested in a particular area that has been (or hasn't been) covered, try to propose something.

Among the next new initiatives are the fugue and the piece for piano; aside from the audio, I have noticed that the score can be useful for deepening the analysis and perhaps offering a more specific suggestion—in short, see how you want to proceed. Ask if necessary.

so to summarize 2013 with the things already set:

- fuga - in progress

- bass to be harmonized - end of June

- piece for piano - end of July

we could also put down something for September and for the end of the year.

Proposal for the end of the year

Complete the 2010 Christmas Mass (republished in April 2012 http://www.pianoconcerto.it/forum/index.php?/topic/834-laboratorio-messa-di-natale-2010/ )

The Credo for the fixed parts would be missing, and I would also propose writing another 4 songs to complete the other parts of the mass:

1 song for the beginning

1 for the offertory

1 for communion

1 for the end

We would thus have 5 pieces to write, one per person, or whoever wants can also write two, with the advantage that the 4 pieces, apart from the Credo, would be easier to realize

for those who are not familiar with long forms.

The instrumentation should be the one chosen then: choir and piano.

Only variation for the offertory piece, which could also be a cappella.

We would thus have a complete mass for choir and piano to perform at Christmas.

As for the texts, I could commit myself to finding 4 Christmas ones.
