I am opening this topic taking inspiration from the attached image.

This practice has been starting for a while now, which I also share from certain points of view; obviously, it wouldn't be bad if it were accompanied by great substance.

What is your position on the matter?

I would marry someone like Yuja Wang, even if she didn't have great substance

And what can I say? What a great leg!!

Yuya Wang is a phenomenon. I also like this thing about playing in osé outfits and 15-centimeter stiletto heels. This is the freshness needed to attract audiences back to this genre of music, not distorting the composer's ideas as Lang Lang does. Times have changed and it is no longer written anywhere that one must go play in a tailcoat with queues for men and covered up to the nape of the neck for women. A woman dressed this way already attracts attention, and when you hear her play, success is guaranteed!

Lola Astanova is another beautiful piece of work and also quite good, I don't know if you know her. In my opinion, she is the number one sexiest pianist at the moment. Wang is technically a couple of levels above.

In your opinion, does she look better with dark hair or blonde?

A practice that I cannot help but endorse; it must also be added that using pedals with those heels might seem easier due to the starting position, but in reality, that is not necessarily the case, consider also the "risk" of the heel slipping.

In any case, the substance, if there is any, comes through and a person can be as attractive as we want, if the sound is not pleasing, interest fades.

Woman at the piano

I saw you sitting at the piano

and you seemed to me an angel, a virgin

of most certain appearance – as if you had

grown up there today upon those thresholds

of very swift music, or ferment

bright beauty of a woman with straight shoulders

those whose angel fingers enclosed

have imprinted a curve of mystery

while in outward appearance in joys

deep as if in new clothing.

And we all thought of you

profound things and more miraculous

than a peak of a dream, your sweet

dear presence dissolved our knots

within the blood of evil and lifted

our air into the happy throbbing

of your very fine blonde hair

She has the grace of a man dressed as a woman and looks like she came out of a manga (porn).

Wang knows how to play and well too, and if her theoretical/practical aspect is also accompanied by a beautiful physique, what is the problem?

Then, if it's a matter of taste, that's another story.

I don't know, it really seems to me that she doesn't have much self-esteem and that she flaunts the opposite with an "important presence" .....then, not knowing her as a person, one can only make conjectures... it is certain that I do not find her elegant. True beauty does not need to rely on explicitly hormonal stimuli. And here the difference between men and women re-emerges... to a woman, this ostentation generally causes annoyance. The concept of beautiful for a man is quite different. Anyway, there are contexts in which some things are out of place, always according to a female eye

Nancy,

i would only add a small correction

>Always according to my female eye

Beauty is subjective and one's own way of seeing things can never be universal. There are female eyes that, instead, appreciate it.

Since the split has generated divergences in taste and points of view, I'm relaunching with the very young women

As elegance and sobriety should be. Therefore, always take care of one's own image

You're a real character ...

Elegance and sobriety, these are unknown to them.

She looks like a flamenco dancer rather than a pianist.

Moreover, the color red does not suit a very young girl.

(if the alternative is the burka, then a red dress with a hip slit is fine too) ;-)

The pianists listed above, about fifty years ago, or even less, would have remained at most common conservatory teachers, perhaps...

The pianism and the art expressed are so mediocre, insignificant, and vulgar that I truly wonder where the success lies.

I also offer my apologies (as a heterosexual male) to the women who intervened here for the usual Italian display of foaming at the mouth...
