Given Ettore's posts, I should have been ... more "asshole" ... as is often suggested to me ..

I see now, I have a forecast... salami F.?

PS

Nothing was asked of me either... maybe it turns out that I am vegan

Listen to me, you can't throw the stone and hide your hand. You can't expect to say the first thing that comes to your mind just how you say it, namely by acting like the guru of the situation, expecting people to bow their heads. Let it be clear that I have never bowed my head to anyone; I will probably only do so before God Almighty. If you expect calm responses from others, be the first one to be measured in your responses to others when you write; you will see that others will be the same with you.

@Carlos

And I challenge myself... after reading the dictionary... it's better to leave the little score alone

Besides, we aren't talking about music... we are talking about Italian, I have been speaking it for a while...

I wanted to have a serious discussion and I pointed out to Frank that a certain type of diet is not based on "just vegetables"; I was trying to use the correct terms because many are convinced that, for example, vegans only eat salad, and I wanted to say that's not the case.

If you want to turn it into a challenge, suit yourselves; I don't act like a guru of anything, and if Simone Renzi is so sensitive that he feels offended by my response (and thinks that I wanted him to bow his head, but since when?), I am sorry, but that is his problem: everyone can read my response and his and form their own opinion.

You have written a great truth... "Everyone can form their own opinion". And I receive complaint emails... Do you also receive them about me? With this, I have said everything. There is no need for me to say anything else.

To me, to tell the truth, I receive compliments for the kindness and professionalism with which I respond to discussions. Just think... It's really true that you can't please everyone! And obviously, I don't receive complaints against you, because I am not a moderator. I believe even I shouldn't add anything else.

PS Oh, just wait and see, now the problem here is me...

From my point of view, man is an animal (omnivore); unfortunately, I also like to forget my nature, which comes out in moments of extreme necessity

If necessary, even we are "good" to eat... and I say this with a shiver running down my spine

The even more impressive thing is that the meat was raw, although frozen ...

I have no intention of doing so. Besides, you said it yourself, didn't you?

You started attacking me publicly, continue publicly.

This story already has some unpleasant history.

Ok, I will be public, you asked me to, everyone is a witness, and therefore I will tell you everything I wanted to tell you over the phone. It is evident that you have not properly understood certain things... The first is quite clearly what kind of person I am. The second is that you are not at your own home here, where you can afford to play good cop and bad cop, and in other people's homes, one behaves in certain ways. As a third thing, outside of here you could be God himself, but in here I do not tolerate this arrogance and impudence towards me (I remind you that I am the administrator and the homeowner, in case you had forgotten).

Despite the fact that I am not the picture of calm in life, I have always tried to pursue a certain logic in things. Logic compels me to think that when an effect occurs, a cause must necessarily have been committed. If I have received at least fifteen emails naming you as "the one who wants to act like a professor," perhaps this is exactly the cause. Not so long ago, I pointed out some rather unpleasant ways of addressing people even to Thallo—I am sorry to always mention him—who took it in a much more mature way than you are doing.

Furthermore, as if all this were not enough, you don't even have any gratitude towards me after I shielded your... regarding the famous incident with Radio Classica (I am specifying the subject of the incident because otherwise who knows what readers will think), which cost me a day of calls to lawyers and car trips, when to shake off the hot potato, all it would have taken was 5 minutes of letting two names and an IP address come out of my mouth.

In light of everything I have written, you dare to come to my house and even raise your voice?

Nothing else to add, your honor!

Over and out!

PS. Should you feel like engaging in healthy victimhood, I tell you right now that the door is open.

Having reviewed the messages, I feel compelled to express my point of view. In the spark that was ignited, I see only a misunderstanding aggravated by previous events.

Carlos has always been polite and helpful toward me, even if reading some of his other posts, they initially appeared a bit "smug" to me as well; however, I must emphasize that I do not know him and realize how easy it is to confuse a personality trait—one that is not at all condemnable but which cannot be tolerated (for various reasons) by some.

Simone, prompted also by reports from other users, whether in a right or wrong way, confronted the situation head-on, and one word led to another until things were "messed up."

Carlos and Simone, I don't want to play the "teacher" of the situation now to explain how or how not to resolve it (I wouldn't be able to), but I would like to read the best from each of you, of which there is plenty, and I would like these matters to be resolved outside of the forum.

P.S. I am curious about your nourishment. I am a eater of meat and vegetables of every kind!!! Give me a dish and you will lift your spirits

Dear Umberto, I proposed to Carlos that we "resolve" the matter privately, precisely because as you CORRECTLY reply, some things must be resolved outside of the forum; as you can see, what I got from my umpteenth attempt at a truce was a blunt "I have no intention whatsoever" and I was incited to continue publicly... As you could understand, I am not backing down. In the same way, however, I no longer have the slightest intention of having anything to do with it.

I have the habit of being frank and not hiding behind private complaints. I do it in daily life, let alone on a forum. For this reason, I have always resolved my issues publicly, even if it leads to conflict. It happened just a few days ago with a user (who might be one of those who complained because "I act like a professor," but I don't want to know about it, please), to whom I openly said what I would have said in person. For me, forums work this way and, on the other hand, this comes at a price and I know it well, but I believe I pay it gladly (as long as no one considers me rude, which doesn't seem to be the case to me and which would naturally upset me), but if frankness has a price, so be it.

Generally, those who complain about others "acting like professors" do so because they lack sufficient arguments to sustain the discussion. And indeed, they go to complain to the moderator, who, paradoxically, believes they don't have to inform the person concerned (perhaps because they find the complaints unjustified? or laughable?), only until this user responds to the moderator himself (politely and on the merits of an open discussion, in which the moderator himself participates, as is the specific case), who feels offended and, only at that point, feels obliged to say publicly that he has received complaint emails against me, while wanting to resolve the matter privately. By phone. Later. Too late, I'm sorry. This isn't about calling all the shots. If you choose a path, you must have the courage to follow it. If one attacks (and I would like to specify that I was the one attacked, because I did not attack anyone) and even chooses public delegitimization, fine, then proceed on that path. Far from "call me, my numbers are in my signature."

Also, excuse me, but this story about "you're not in your own home" is just funny. Is it a forum? Yes. Is there a set of rules? Yes. Do I violate these rules? If so, tell me using the forum channels. If not, instead of playing the victim because I respond to you as I would have responded to any other user (since you write on the forum like other users), forget it. Or, since you are the moderator, is whatever you write fine regardless? Eh, too easy! If someone chooses to be both the referee and the center-midfielder, they can't call a "foul" only when the ball is stolen from them.

Far from "playing healthy victim." You're telling me that? It's not me who is playing the victim, neither in private nor in public.

However, next time someone complains because "I act like a professor," either tell him it's nonsense or tell me, but don't bring it up when it suits you just because I responded in a way that annoyed you. Who else, then, is playing the victim?

You have a quite distorted view of life. There won't be a next time, my dear, because you are out. Use certain tones with other people; you and I have never eaten together, so see to it that you show due respect. You come to reproach me for having to tell you things at the moment they happen, when I have been reprimanding you for your behavior practically from the first day you signed up. Even having reached this point, you carry yourself with this air of superiority towards other people, saying that they aren't even capable of holding their own against you. But who do you think you are, let me understand? What would you have invented? Besides, I am not playing the victim at all; I don't need to, believe me, I am used to tearing people apart bit by bit, and what I am doing here in these posts is just a fraction of what I would have done over the phone, let alone whimpering to play the victim. I am not afraid of you, just as I am not afraid of anyone else; as they say here in Rome, you don't move me one bit, and if you had called me instead of hiding behind a PC screen, I would have shown you, and you come to talk to me about courage? Give me a break, you don't even know what you're talking about!!

That being said, I bid you farewell, and I am sure that many other people will now take part in the discussions; the same ones who, because of you, often preferred to avoid clashing (with you, obviously) and causing a stir within the forum. Imagine the class these people have! There is much to learn...

As my mother always says, when one door closes, another large one opens.

Farewell, dear,

bye bye...

No, I didn't like it either. I am especially sorry that Carlos left like that!
