Here......not even 20 days and another one has torn. Not among those I repaired!

What was supposed to happen has happened, that's why I said to check them all at once.
Hi.

Will I have to change them all then? Or if I wait for a few more to snap, do I risk breaking or bending some of the clips?
Member
I would have done them all, the defect is probably on all of them.

Then I will have to find the necessary amount of time and set to work with a bit of patience. Do you advise me to disassemble all the hammers or to proceed in groups?
Member
The smartest thing to do is to work by alternating the hammers, one and then the other, so as to find their position more quickly.
Hi

What do you mean? First all the odd numbers and then all the even ones?

Yes

But they are all numbered, you can't go wrong. You just have to reinsert them in sequence. To me, it seems easier not to have a hammer on both the right and left sides while taking it apart and putting it back together.

Ah yes, no problem, everyone works as they prefer; anyway, I wasn't referring to the numbering but to the discussion about centering, which sometimes turns out to be more immediate having all the hammer references on the side....otherwise look at the string marks, it's the same.

Aside from the centering of the hammers, after reassembling them is there any adjustment that needs to be checked? Something that might have changed, or is this not a possibility?
Hi

When dismantling components, it is the rule, at the end of everything, to recheck the regulation. Everything may return to its place or not even so.
Member
So when I'm finished, can I ask you for some tips on what to check?
Member
Oh yes, it's just that now I don't understand anything anymore; between you and that other person doing things halfway, I've lost the thread of the conversation
Member
Ah yes, you are talking about Ful. I followed the topic, very interesting, maybe there is something there that can be useful to me. But perhaps the measurements are not all the same from pf to pf. Every brand and model will have its specific measurements. Where can I find those for the Yamaha U1?
Member
When adjusting a mechanism, it's not necessarily required to know what the measurements are; the mechanism itself suggests how it should be adjusted. Regardless, if you start from 47 mm, or if you apply the same measurements, it works nonetheless.
