Anyway, the only one who gave "official" news was R.Strausss.

So for now there would be two of us. Clearly, as JamSession says, this test is a bit more demanding, so as happened with last year's variations, I don't expect an exaggerated influx. Three pieces arrived then

I wrote it, but I'm not convinced, so I think I will submit with a few days' delay ... but I will submit.

Last night I finished it.

Now I'm putting it into the computer and I should be able to make it by Monday ... evening!

Given the andante theme and the lack of time, I opted to write the middle movement of a sonata.

Next time I will take my time and write the first movement, which at this point will be in E-flat major.

I struggled... this theme didn't offer very much and suspensions must be used sparingly, otherwise they become tiresome.

I cut myself at about 10' ... please, 4 hands. I don't know when it will arrive, but it will arrive.

I think the theme offers several possibilities (also regarding harmonic progressions), in the sense that I proposed almost 4 bars... but it could have easily been extended to 8, and we will see that probably the theme can have a good result even with other meters. It must be said that even the second theme is free, so there is room for new elements... I took it as a splash of color. Honestly, I don't know if AleGozzo used the orchestra; I know for certain that he has already finished (legend) and is just waiting for the topic to delight us with his notes...

I am very curious, I sketched out a response but I was very uncomfortable for 2 reasons: it was either too simple or too complex (... though I considered it over 4 bars), in short, you could feel the change of hand... something my teacher insists on very much.

I realized I used the wrong topic, I was referring to Alessandro Gozzo's:

- the string version moved me at certain points, I liked it very much

- the piano version also entertained me, very melodic ...the only thing is that when the recapitulation starts, the change in texture seems a bit sudden to me.

Regarding sonata form, I don't think I am reliable, but one can perceive the fact that it is a tripartite two-theme structure

Question for Alessandro Gozzo, yours is practically a version for string orchestra where one always plays divisi, or was the idea to propose a double string orchestra.

I am asking because I am making some considerations in terms of orchestration ...

I have only listened to the version for pf, I like how you detached yourself from the material and I find the response spot on... it rarely happens with you, usually I always like everything else (practically from measure 8 onwards)... but here you hit the mark.
