we were thinking about when to go out and eat a nice pizza together in the center of Rome.
We will look for a place that is convenient for everyone in the immediate vicinity of the municipality of Rome; obviously, it is also open to those willing to travel from outside.
Please participate in large numbers and propose your attendance below along with the days you have available during the weekend.
In the end, we will create a histogram showing the days with the most attendance and choose from among them.
Sorry, one thing is not clear to me: were you thinking of THIS weekend (so the choice is reduced to April 25-26-27), or a generic weekend to be scheduled?
In the first case, I have no problem with the 26th or the 27th. If instead we are aiming for another time, I would say that Saturday May 3rd or Sunday May 4th is fine, and so is the following weekend (I would avoid Thursday May 1st and also Friday the 2nd, because it would be difficult for me on both days).
However, if it is possible to do this on a day other than the weekend, I have in mind a couple of musical initiatives after which we could add a pizza (as they say... let's combine the two things!)
On Tuesday the 29th at 8:30 PM, I will be at the Palladium theater (Garbatella) for the Roma Tre Orchestra concert (see www.r3o.org or https://www.facebook.com/events/780320605326327/?fref=ts): if the forum participants are interested, we could find a pizzeria in the area after the concert (there is one right on the square). But I warn you that the concert is paid (10 โฌ for non-members). Alternatively, I offer you another possibility, which might be inconvenient for some because it takes place in a location that is not exactly central. On Tuesday, May 6th, I will hold a short lecture on musical forms (with video examples) at the "Nuova Armonia" music school in Acilia. Here too, the appointment is at 8:30 PM, and we finish by 10 PM at the latest: so we could go to dinner together there in Acilia.
This is naturally only if the participants are willing to organize this "social event" in the middle of the week. If this is not considered feasible, let's return to the weekend idea, which might be more convenient for everyone (but there are more crowds in the pizzerias). This obviously does not change the fact that anyone from the forum who wishes to participate in the musical appointments mentioned above can do so (for the second one, I will perhaps post a specific message in the coming days).
Beautiful idea, personally speaking I suspect I have the same difficulties as Scala... but moving around during this period is very difficult. So I will be with you virtually ...
I am from Rome (and, moreover, I live in the Roman countryside to the south, below Ariccia and Albano), but I am a restaurateur ( http://www.tripadvisor.it/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d798103-Reviews-Tramonti_e_Muffati-Rome_Lazio.html ). So I am not free for dinner. At most, Simone, we could meet in Ariccia at lunchtime for a nice sandwich at Cioli. Of course it would be very fun to meet up for a pizza, but these days I cannot sacrifice a working evening.
I can't do it either. I am down in Sicily. In other times I would have made it. But now, definitely not. Thanks for the invitation. I will also be with you virtually. In any case, I consider it a beautiful initiative. A while ago I had an experience of this kind. We found ourselves as 40 band musicians playing in a meadow. We did 2 days of rehearsals with some important conductors and then we held the closing concert. An unforgettable thing.
