Holy words... If only! If everyone thought the same way.

It is known as 'Mujica preaches well and lives a bit worse'. Uruguay is not paradise and a populist president doesn't change much.

And this type of post has kept me away from the forum for months...

I think that Musjica is a great man and a great president!

However, I also think that OUR PRESIDENT is a great man and a great president, and that if all our local politicians, from the far left to the far right, including those who do not consider themselves either left or right, had similar stature, we would be a better people.

Yes, because in the end I am convinced that every people gets the politicians they deserve! Making due exceptions, and Mattarella is certainly one of them.

To Claudio, I say that I assumed that posts like these were what kept him away from this forum but, Claudio, believe me that it is not worth poisoning your blood over these things and therefore, do not abandon things again.

To Rotore - but not just to him - I would instead ask, every now and then, to also talk about music, since, in the end, this forum is primarily about music.

At least that way, in addition to having understood long ago how you think politically speaking, we will know what you think and what your tastes are regarding musical themes.

In effect, one only needs to read my messages...

http://www.pianoconcerto.it/forum/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&mid=805&search_app=forums&userMode=all&sid=3b2a35258a61a361bfa32bf6d33636da&search_app_filters%5Bforums%5D%5BsortKey%5D=date&st=25

And for precision, this section - which exists - is the only "free" one; I read topics from Piccinesco, LucaCavaliere, Emanuele, Giovanni, Marcello Frank, TheSimon, etc.

Out of 21 pages ...perhaps mine are only 3 topics, please.

Regarding Mujica, I might even agree with Thallo, that if he moves away because of this topic he is making a big mistake; the fact remains that hearing 4 sensible words has never hurt anyone....

Well, in recent months I have read many interesting musical topics where I haven't seen your contributions... perhaps you only like reading certain types of topics. But I am sure I am mistaken and the Thallo of old times will give the right weight to the right topics.

Examples:

http://www.pianoconcerto.it/forum/index.php?/topic/5339-pu%C3%B2-esistere-qualcosa-di-informe/

http://www.pianoconcerto.it/forum/index.php?/topic/5568-schumann-geistervariationen/

Etc.

I want to intervene because I believe it is a mistake to abandon a forum for months—where there have been and I hope there will be interesting discussions—just because of a few disliked topics, and I say this also because Thallo's contribution has often been precious within many discussions. Initially, I used to get worked up and would spend hours writing messages. Sincerely, now I no longer have all this desire to write and promote my ideas if I know that on the other side I will hit a wall, just as many times my interlocutors have hit a wall with me. I think that sometimes it is better not to respond and let everyone keep their own ideas. It is better for one's health and saves time that we can dedicate to discussions that interest us more and where there can truly be a constructive exchange of views. After all, it is known that in all discussions, but especially in political ones, each of us possesses our own truth and looks at reality with different eyes and different thoughts, often based on information and/or misinformation. Ultimately, it is also right that it is this way; otherwise, we would all vote for the same party or all listen to the same music. In the end, if we think about it, it was diversity that made us evolve over the years. If Einstein had thought the same things as other physicists, we would still be stuck at Newtonian physics, and he has a famous phrase: "We cannot expect change if we are always doing the same things."

Frankly, for me it is just a matter of priorities... between a musical topic and another of a different nature, I immediately orient myself towards the musical one. Besides, the subject of the topic and the section itself immediately provide precise coordinates regarding the type of subject.

I find it right that we don't only talk about music, just as I find it right that in a music forum 95% of discussions must be of a musical nature. However, I don't want to be wrong, but the weight of music in a country's culture also depends on politics... everyone approaches this theme however they want:

- there are those who ignore it

- there are those who flee

- there are those who chatter

- there are those who expose themselves (and that's it)

- there are those who concretely do something

- etc.

Besides, Gandhi teaches: "Be the change you want to see in the world"

If we want a forum with more posts and topics filled with music... let's get to work. Without being pretentious: why delegate such a noble thing to others by "distancing" ourselves?

A warm wish for a happy 2016 to everyone

I am also here because music is my main passion.

That being said, the forum's topics and sections are many. It is like a large square where there are many discussions: some interest me not at all, others interest me but only as a 'listener' given my incompetence, and in others I can make a contribution.

But the square is valuable precisely because it is large.

Like Daniele, I also look mainly for discussion-reflections on musical works. Often, in those that I have opened, I have found only one interlocutor (generally, it seems to me, Daniele himself)... but two people are enough to have a dialogue. Of course: if there are more, all the better....

I also greatly missed Thallo's contribution (and presence)... Best wishes to everyone from me too!

... perhaps because it is difficult to add something when Daniele writes

I only wanted to reward the thought if then they are words spoken in bad faith by Mujica, all the worse for him.

No, let it be clear, Mujica was not—one must now speak of him in the past tense since he is no longer president—acting in bad faith, and if you read what Wikipedia writes, you can realize this for yourself

Mujica was not even a populist—as Claudio defines him—but one of the most noble and beautiful expressions of the most recent international Left.
